Firm History

Convergence Design began as the private professional practice of David Greusel, FAIA in 2004. Since then, the practice has served a variety of public, private and non-profit clients in the central United States. Mr. Greusel has assisted clients with everything from tenant finish permit drawings to building renovation work to entirely new buildings. Convergence Design was organized as a Limited Liability Company in the state of Kansas in 2010 and is authorized, through the licensure of Principal David Greusel,  to provide architectural design services in nine states.

David Greusel, FAIA, has over 30 years' professional experience in the practice of architecture. David has worked for large, medium and small firms across the Midwest for most of his career, accumulating  a wealth of knowledge in a variety of building types. In addition to the public assembly projects for which he is best known, David has designed a considerable number of schools and other institutional projects, large retail developments, commercial and office buildings, and multifamily housing.

For most of the past 14 years, David was a senior designer and market leader for Populous, one of the world's leading design firms in the area of public assembly architecture. While with Populous, David designed Major League ballparks, stadia, arenas and convention centers. These large public projects constitute the core of David's portfolio, but they are by no means all of it.
